When I put this embroidered dress on, I knew it was going to become one of my favorites.

I first came across an embroidered dress while walking to my office one day. I was passing ZARA one morning and saw the cutest black dress in the window. It was black and embroidered with florals. I died for a second…then went about my day and forgot about the dress entirely.

Fast-forward a few weeks later, I was browsing the Chicwish site and BAM! this embroidered dress dress was staring me in the face. Guess how long it took for me to add it to my cart? (Hint: Not very long).

Since I’m pretty much in love with this dress, I’ve worn it approximately 10 times since getting it. When something becomes a favorite in my closet, it gets hard to come up with different ways to style it. Luckily, I’ve found some pretty solid ways to switch up styling your favorite dress.

Add some layers

Remember this post on the three piece rule? Why not apply it when it comes to styling your favorite dress? The easiest way to make your outfit look different is to add different elements to it. Plus, people will see JUST how versatile your wardrobe really is! It’s a win-win, duh. Add a layer underneath (like a striped tee or solid button down) or put on a cozy sweater (I have a post coming up where I layered a dress under a sweater!), jacket or bomber.

Switch out the shoes

Switching up what shoes you wear can really help you out when you want to wear the same dress over and over (and over) again. I’m wearing my Alexander Wang booties here, but this dress in particular would also look so cute with my new mules, over the knee boots, pumps, or sandals in the Spring/Summer!

Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize

Just like shoes, wearing different accessories also helps when it comes to styling your favorite dress. One day you might want to be bold and make a statement, and the next day you may want to add some delicate pieces. I love the way most pieces look good with tons of different jewelry! This dress would look great with a choker (I’ve clearly loved this one the most over the last couple of months) or even a fun pair of earrings!

Add an unexpected piece

Denim has a very funny way of working sometimes. I definitely have a love/hate relationship with denim – but sometimes they’re my best friend. Since I really think experimenting with fashion is quite frankly the best part about having this blog, I think this dress could kind of work with denim. And maybe even a bit of a front tuck. Whoa, bold. I know. But think about it!

A new ‘do

And last, but not least, your hair has a lot to do with your outfit. Here, I’m wearing my hair down and curled, but imagine I had a little top knot? I feel like the vibe of the look would be so different, don’t you? Whether it’s a top knot, braid, loose waves, or straightened hair, this way of styling your favorite dress is a no brainer!

PS: FUN NEWS! I’m currently on my way to Florida to start my vacation with Royal Caribbean. It’s my first time on a cruise (we’ll be on Harmony of the Seas), but I’m obviously VERY excited! Even though I’ll still be posting on Pink Champagne Problems, you can follow along on my actual adventure by looking at the hashtag #PopFizzTravel and following along on IG Stories and Snapchat (@danamannarino)
