If there’s one trend I’m super into right now, it’s neck scarves. Ok, maybe it’s not really a trend at the moment, but it’s something that I’m really loving lately.
Everywhere I go, I want to throw a neck scarf on over my look. I find myself planning looks that involve me wearing a scarf of some sort – big or small, colorful or neutral. Lately I’ve been pretty lucky.
When visiting the Nora Gardner pop up shop a few weeks ago (more on that tomorrow), I picked up the cutest silk scarf that’s perfect for a more toned-down look. Then, at the Lovely Happenings event a few weekends back, Lex of Lexicon of Style was doing a demonstration on her beautiful scarves as well as selling them (more on her pieces later). I picked up this one in the traditional size, and I love the pop of turquoise! I’ve worn it basically for a week straight.
So when I found myself wearing an all white look, I added a piece straight from Perry Ellis Collection Runway. It added a little “cool” factor to my look, which is obviously a major plus in my book! I realize this look would normally be “preppy”, especially with a silk scarf draped over my shoulders – so I think added my fringe heels really help make it different! I wore them so much last year (seen here, here and here), and I know they’ll be pretty useful this season too 😉
