Work Hard, Play Hard(ish)

Now I have that Ne-Yo song stuck in my head….great. But let’s talk about this oversized sweater.

The last week of 2014 and the first week of 2015 were seriously a blast. I couldn’t even tell you how much fun I had. I had (and have) a ton of days to use before the next fiscal year, so I’ve been using them wisely.

Between trips to AC, nights out with my girlfriends, and family time with champagne, it was the perfect ending and beginning to two years.

But now, it’s back to the daily grind (OK, fine. You got me. I have two more little trips planned in the next two weeks). No more holidays, long breaks, or time off.

And honestly, it’s never really slow in my office. There’s always something going on because we’re always between seasons or working on new projects. But that’s what I love about my job. I’m never bored. Sure there are slow[er] days, but there’s always things that can be done. I love that about my job. It’s cool when I’m always involved in some sort of meeting or following up on something that needs to get done. Plus, the days go by so much faster.

Now that I’m done with my holiday shenanigans, it’s time to seriously relax and enjoy my weekends. I re-discovered a beeeeeeeautiful place on Staten Island, the Conference House, and caught the most beautiful sunset. Fun fact: Adams, Rutledge and Franklin met with Britain’s representative met at this house……I don’t remember why. But they did. And now it’s haunted.

Woo!

Look it up, I swear;)

Confession: I accidentally bought the maternity version of this oversized sweater….oops. But, you can’t tell, right? *BBM can’t watch face*
