A (Garden) Affair To Remember

I never thought I could be more in my element than I am when I’m in New York City….until I headed out east.

You’ll understand what I mean in upcoming posts 😉

Over the weekend, Mollie, Allie and I packed our bags (you really should have seen the amount of things we brought) and headed to Easthampton. It was one of the nicest and most relaxing weekends I’ve had in a while.

On Saturday morning, we were up and at ’em for the annual Garden Tour. And it was nothing short of amazing. We went to about 4 or 5 stunning houses in the Hamptons and just walked around the beautiful grounds. I saw everything from gigantic houses, to beautiful pools, to what seemed like lavender fields in people’s backyards. It was such a great experience – and made for one hell of a photo op.

It was definitely a “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore” moment. These were like $50 million dollar homes we were at. At every home, I imagined what the owners did for a living – so that was a fun game…..and I just kept dreaming about one day being able to have a second home like them 😉

Now onto my look…because that’s what you actually care about, no?

I decided to wear the cutest dress I own and my new favorite shoes. Since I was wearing all white, I knew my statement earrings needed to make an appearance. I pulled this look together the morning of the event, but I actually love the way it goes. It’s super simple (kind of like this look here….see a pattern?), yet something about it is kind of perfect to me. I think the simplicity gives it a sophisticated touch, and the statement earrings help it stand out. Plus, how cute it this bow detail! FYI, the bow is adjustable, so it can be fit to your chest size 😉
