You know what’s the best feeling in the world? Finding your perfect match.

…and I’m not talking about a person (sorry, Matt).

If you’re like me (physically), you’ll understand how hard it is to shop for denim. I don’t feel very proportionate – I have stumpy legs and a long torso with bigger hips. So on top of being only 5’2, it’s prrrrrretty rare that I find denim that works for me (My go-tos? 7 For All Mankind and Gap).

When I find a pair of denim I love, it’s basically the best day ever. There’s nothing better than finding something that just makes you feel good to go out in…and that you can wear almost every day 😉

I also really love ripped and destroyed jeans (love love love my Levi’s Boyfriends, which are less than $50!), so when I had my mind set on finding a pair of black skinny jeans with rips, I was NOT going to give up. I looked online at so many different retailers: Banana Republic, J.Crew, Gap, J.Brand, 7 For All Mankind – but never found a pair that I felt would be okay for me.

One day when I was browsing Nordstrom (like I do every single day), I saw this pair of Paige Denim was on sale…which is pretty rare for designer denim. I decided to bite the bullet and just order a pair. I had never owned a pair of Paige Denim before, so I was excited to see how they fit (looking at this pair currently!).

And they worked!

My only call out would be to size down because they’re a little heavier and they do stretch (not so much though). The rips help give this pair the perfect amount of “casual”. When I want to wear them at the office, I just throw on a pair of heels.

Seriously, I wore these almost every day when I got them. They are perfect for work and all the way to Sunday Funday brunch. I definitely recommend these for anyone looking for a great pair of black denim!
