This post should be titled, “It’s December and I’m hot.”
I still can’t get over how warm it’s been – and that makes me a little nervous for the upcoming months (January and February might be brutal), but nonetheless, I’m having a really hard time getting dressed these days.
While I want to bundle up in sweaters, scarves, and my wool coat, I’m usually sweating by the time I get to my office. My summer wardrobe is already packed away in the basement, soooo I’m really in a bit of a pickle.
I just want to wear layers on layers on layers without feeling like I’m going to have a heat stroke in December – AM I RIGHT?! We’re still in this “in between” phase of being freezing in the morning to being hot in the afternoon and then being cold again at night. It’s a little scary, ya know, global warming and sh*t…but moving on….
Luckily, I’ve been putting all my faith in easy dresses to throw on with a jacket. This Windsor dress is the best dress for that. I can easily wear it without tights and with over the knee boots (like this look here). Since gingham will always be a classic pattern, it will be fun to throw a long cardigan over this dress – I’m thinking something marled.
