Fringe Benefits

Now that summer is over, we have more important things to think about.

FALL IS BASICALLY HERE (minus that whole weather thing). There is so much to look forward to in the next few weeks: New York Fashion Week, cooler weather, sweaters, layers, apple picking football games, and my most anticipated activity, hockey season. Ugh, there are way too many reasons to love fall, and I’d definitely be lying if I said I wasn’t a little happy summer was over.

The only thing that I’m not looking forward to is the fact that I need to work until 6pm on Fridays (RIP Summer Fridays).

Fall is without a doubt the best time for fashion. It’s a time for people to get more creative with their looks instead of being fearful of sweating through some layers (TMI, oops). I love the idea of playing with pieces that will transition straight into the next season (I know, I know, every single blogger loves their transition pieces). For the past few months, I’ve been shopping for things that work well with fall looks.

This Banana Republic top was such a steal for me. I’m always looking for tops that are long, tunic-esque. And this one was perfect for the summer heat. But this won’t be the last time you’ll see this shirt over in this neck of the woods.

Just think: sweaters, blazers, or maybe both? The layering options are endless 😉

Also, quick note on these pants: They’re the perfect dress pant for work, yet can be played off like they’re your go-to every day pant. Oh and they’re stretchy – WINNING.

WHAT I’M WEARING:
Top: Banana Republic
Bottoms: LOFT
Shoes: Steve Madden
Bag: Old Navy
Sunglasses: Karen Walker
Nails: OPI Big Apple Red
