Ways To Wear A Statement Jacket

One of the main reasons why I love the colder weather is because of layering and jackets!

There’s actually nothing I love more than layering lots of pieces in Fall and Winter. I think layering gives you more of an opportunity to show off your creativity with styling. Oh and I also just really enjoy being super cozy. I typically regret saying that because I also get VERY hot VERY easily.

A few weeks ago, I was sent a beautiful leopard trench coat from Few Moda. If you haven’t heard of Few Moda. They’re a high fashion wholesale club — members can join for an annual free and then shop at wholesale prices (50%-70%). Out of the pieces I received, I naturally gravitated towards this leopard trench. By now, I think it’s safe to say that leopard is way more than a “moment”. Leopard is a neutral (remember when the QUEEN, Jenna Lyons, said “As far as I’m concerned, leopard is a neutral.”?)

I knew I could style this coat with pretty much ALL THE THINGS. I styled it the first two ways I could think of, and I’m REALLY loving these looks. Wearing a leopard coat definitely makes a statement, but it’s definitely one I want to make.

it’s casual

First, the casual way. Because, DUH.

I’ve been wearing these jeans NONSTOP since I got them. So I threw them on with this leopard trench, and loved how the buttons played off the neutral tones. I paired the jeans with flats because it just makes it easier to run around the city in. I also have on this AMAZING henley that is honestly one of the best pieces I’ve ever purchased. As you can say, I pretty much play it safe when it comes to wearing a print. I’m definitely not on Blair’s level of print mixing and matching.

Throw on a hat and you’re GOOD. TO. GO.

dress it up

I knew this trench would be a great piece to wear with a dressier look too. The easiest way to do that is with a dress. I’m VERY into jumper dresses at the moment. I think they’re so adorable, and the perfect way to get some layering pieces underneath (see how I styled a burgundy jumper with another animal print on the LOFT Instagram!).

I also don’t think there’s anything cuter than a mini dress with knee high boots (is anyone else over OTK boots, or is it just me?). I got these boots last year and really love them. They’re JUST the right amount of heel…meaning I can still walk around in them.

If you had to pick one look, which one would you pick?!

Wow! I love your leopard trench coat. All these are great styles, but I like it better with the jeans. I too look forward to Fall so that I can pile on the layers.
