HOW DID WE GET HERE?

I know many, many people feel this way, but I need to say it (or type it): When I first started Pink Champagne Problems in 2012, I probably would have told you I wasn’t going to continue blogging after I graduated from college.

I guess from the moment I posted my first real outfit photos (aka on a nice camera and not on an iPhone), I was hooked. But did I think I would ever balance a full-time job along with a time-consuming blog? HELL TO THE NO.

And here we are, almost four years (and a new site design) later.

I wrote in this post how I don’t really agree with the saying, “Do what you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” It just doesn’t sit well with me. I really think I’ll always feel this way, and here’s a prime example why.

Last week, something pretty cool happened. I hit 10,000 followers on Instagram. And since then, I’ve been motivated to work smarter and harder. I took most of last week off to try and gather the words to express my happiness and gratitude. I put together some of my new favorite Spring looks and shot them around New York City. I RSVP’d yes to fun and networking events (told ya I’d be better at it in this post). I planned my editorial calendar out, making a list of locations I want to shoot at as well as what look I want to shoot there.

I want more.

And not in a greedy way. (Sure, 10,000 followers would be amazing.) I want to create more content. I want to create better content. I want to know more of you. I want you all to know more about me. So yeah, 10,000 followers on Instagram was a great milestone to hit. Now I’m hungrier. And I’m ready to move on to bigger and better things.

But in this moment, I’ll just put on a fun dress and roam around Central Park 😉
