It’s my 2nd NYFW as a working gal, and it’s is already better than the first one. Don’t get me wrong, I had an amazing first experience back in September. My company’s show was phenomenal, I was backstage watching the chaotic magic happen, and we got really great reviews in the press. BUT, I wasn’t fully invested in the pieces because I had joined the team towards the end of runway development.

Now, a few things have changed. Besides working on a ton of new projects for Pink Champagne Problems, I’m definitely more involved in my role as a Merchandiser since I’ve been with my company for 8 months. It’s pretty cool that I’m familiar with all of the garments, so it was really exciting (and somewhat emotional) watching handsome men walk down the runway in our Fall 2015 collection.

Last minute fittings, styling, and sample tracking is a huge part of my day (not to mention we’re in between two other seasons at the moment). Although my days are super hectic, I’m lucky enough to work alongside some of the most creative people in the fashion industry – they keep me on my toes even when that 2 p.m. slump hits me like a ton of bricks.

In order to stay inspired at work and keep the creative juices flowing for Pink Champagne Problems, I firmly believe in three things: 1) A lot of laughter – good thing my co-workers are hilarious, 2) A well-organized planner and phone calendar – check and check, and 3) Staying hydrated –  because that’s actually really more important than you think.

Even designers need to find a way to stay inspired during the busiest time of the year!

Thanks to smartwater being an official hydrator of NYFW,  I can keep myself hydrated while on-the-go, working on special projects, and planning my schedule. During this next week, instead of reaching for an iced coffee, I’ll grab a bottle of smartwater to give me a refreshing boost of energy.

This story is brought to you by vapor-distilled smartwater, who found unique inspiration for their water by looking up to the sky. We hope the new perspective this piece offers will help inspire you.
