I’m pretty sure every girl’s dream (at some point in life), is to be part of The Rockettes. Why? Because then you’d get to perform at Radio City Music Hall.
Ok. Maybe not every girl. But you get the picture.
Growing up, Radio City Music Hall was just a little (big), magical place where The Rockettes performed every single holiday season. Oh, and my sister’s Commencement ceremony from FIT was here too! But I believe my first Radio City Christmas Spectacular was in 1998, when I was 6 years old. I saw it again when I was a senior in high school, and I really am itching to see it again. There’s something so freakin’ magical about that show. Between The Rockettes, the dancing, the Nativity scene, and SANTA (!), there’s nothing NOT to love about it. Have you ever seen it?!
I work about 7 blocks from Radio City Music Hall so I often pass it when I’m grabbing lunch, walking towards the park or running an errand during/after work. Yeah, it’s pretty cool on a normal day. But Christmas time? Nothing compares to that! Real talk: If I do I have to run and errand up there during the holiday season, I’m definitely not the happiest camper. Sorry, that’s just the New Yorker in me;) I wanted to shoot these with no people around, butttttt apparently tourists like to be up-n-at-them at 7:30 on a Saturday morning….
And there you have it – another stop during my Christmas In New York series! Are you enjoying seeing some of my favorite Christmas spots? I love how each one has held such great memories in my life, so it’s been really fun sharing with you!
