What are the best and worst parts about living in NYC?
By now, everyone knows how much pride I take in being a born and raised New Yorker. When I left for college in 2010, I was definitely unaware of just how lucky I was. Now that I’ve been back home for almost three years, I can definitely say it’s fun to adult in NYC.

The best part of living in the city is the convenience of everything. I don’t know about some people, but I love taking the subway. I love being able to walk to most places too. My office is in Midtown, so there’s literally EVERYTHING right near my office.

The worst part is probably the cost of living. Even lunch is ridiculously expensive – I usually pay around $10-$15 for a soup and salad or something. Of course, it would be nice to pay less for everything, but ultimately, there’s just nothing that bad about NYC.

I cannot believe I’m going to London in FIVE DAYS. The amount of packages that came to my apartment was borderline ridiculous, but I’m SO excited to get to London and shoot some great content. Here’s some of what I”m packing:

Aside from all of the London goodies that have arrived at my doorstep, I wanted to share some recent finds! I’ve been wanting these studded booties for about 2 years. But that price tag was just way too outrageous for something so fashion forward. This week, I was once again, just browsing online (as usual), and I FOUND THEM. I found a great pair of dupes and just HAD to have them. Sure, the leather isn’t as soft or buttery like the Suzanna booties. BUT, can’t win ’em all, right? Next up: these joggers. I was at my sister’s house one day and she was wearing them. So what did I do? I went home and ordered them for myself;) And finally, I’m loving these performance leggings. I wear them to the gym ALL THE TIME and Matt thinks they’re crazy…so naturally I ordered another color.

You might (or maybe not) have noticed that there was no new post yesterday. I sat down to write my typical Thursday post, but then the thoughts came flowing in. I began writing a post about why I skipped NYFW this year. Instead of rushing through the post, I wanted it to be a thorough one: My reasons, the shift in the industry, looking at it from the brand and blogger side, etc. It’ll be up next week – not gonna lie, I’m a little nervous to post it!

As for this weekend, I have a doctors appointment (go get your yearly exams!!!), a big shoot with Allie before we head to London (I have a few exciting campaigns coming up!), and then heading to Westchester with Matt for the rest of the weekend/some of Monday (Yay President’s Day!).

Yesterday morning, I made it back to SoulCycle after Mantas (my favorite instructor) convinced me I needed to come back. It felt SO good to get back on a bike. SO GOOD. As much fun as I’m having at Equinox, Mantas was very quick to remind me that he will forever kick my butt.

I tried a new class this week, Tabata, and it was pretty intense for 7AM. There was a lot of fatiguing of the muscles, little recovery, and a mix of light/heavy weights. I loved it though! I’m really trying to get to the gym in the morning at least twice a week. It’s nice to get it done early in the day and just be able to go home after work! Plus, I feel like I have more energy in the morning!

I just finished the book, Find Her, and I don’t know how to feel about it. It was 100% a page turner, but I can’t decide if all of the twists and turns were just for the sake of having twists and turns. If that makes any sense. If you’re into thrillers and quite dark tales, then I recommend this book! I’m thinking of reading one of her other books, Right Behind You, too!

I hope you enjoy this Pop! Fizz! Chat! series as much I enjoy writing and researching for it. If you ever have a question you’d like me to answer, feel free to shoot me an email, tweet me, send me a DM on Instagram, or ask it anonymously here!
