A weekly series dedicated to everything from life, travel and fashion Q&A, sale finds, weekend updates, sneak peeks and more!
A little travel, life and fashion Q&A. I want to answer them ALL.
I’m a new blogger and I was wondering what was the easiest way to start working with stores and companies?
I wouldn’t say this is the “easiest” way, but working through agencies and programs are a great way to work with brands. I really love working with Clever, some of my favorite campaigns are through them. Working through a third party has great benefits, the biggest being they connect you to a brand without all of the negotiating. After doing this for a while, I realized that I wanted to take matters into my own hands and negotiate my own projects. That’s when I started researching and began pitching myself! I’d say about 50% of my sponsored content comes from my own pitches! I’ve definitely gotten better at it too — I have my own templates for contracts and invoices and use services like DocuSign to get electronic signatures!
Here’s what I’m loving, buying and eyeing!
OK. Let’s talk about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, shall we? This year, I think I’m going to be keeping a pretty low profile when it comes to blog content. Part of it is due to the fact that since I’m also a consumer, I’m definitely sick of all the same content. The other part of it is that I’m SUPER busy at work, and really don’t have the time to create genuine content surrounding the sale. But I, of course, made time to shop the sale during the 30 minutes I was able to sit at my desk. I definitely got a mix of both summer and fall items, and I’m really excited for them to come in! I got two-day shipping, so if you’re interested in seeing some Nordstrom Anniversary Sale content, I’d definitely love to share what I bought to wear now.
I think I hit the checkout button a little prematurely, so I’m going to give the sale another go around this weekend. I think I’m going to stock up on more fall basics. And I have my eye on this travel shawl. Since I’m heading to Nashville in two weeks, I’d LOVE this for the plane. It looks unbelievably cozy!
I mean, after all, it’s *almost* my birthday, so I deserve this little shopping spree – right?
I also wanted to point out that some pieces I already own are included in the sale:
- This everyday handbag. only $52
- A suede mini skirt. under $70
- The coolest destroyed denim jacket. under $70
- My go-to suede jacket. under $150
A little recap on readers’ favorite posts from the past few days and weeks.
Again, I am FLOORED by the support I received on Tuesday’s post. It’s so nice knowing that so many people can relate to the things I write about. That’s why I’ve started to incorporate more personal posts on Pink Champagne Problems. It’s easy for me to link my outfits and tell you about certain pieces, but the truth is, I’ve noticed that you guys don’t really care about that. Which is kinda awesome, because I truly love to write!

Weekend plans, anyone?
This weekend I have my birthday shoot all planned out and ready to go. I’m really excited for this year’s shoot because it’s at an amazing location – any guesses? I picked out my outfit very last minute (as in I needed to expedite shipping), but it came together so well. I’m also PRETTY excited to be turning 25 on the 25th — but more on that later.
Other than my fun birthday shoot, my weekend is going to consist of margaritas and tacos with Elle, convincing Matt to shoot some more looks for the blog, and a Sunday brunch with two of my co-workers. I’m in need of a great weekend because this past week at work has been EXHAUSTING to say the least. I’ve stayed at the office past 6PM every day and then came home to work on the blog…so yeah, I’m looking forward to just kicking back and having fun this weekend!
A few of my favorite blog posts (and articles) from this week!
If you DO enjoy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale content, then definitely check out these ladies’ posts:
- Tara did an AMAZING try-on already…she killed it and now I basically want everything she posted.
- My girl Stephanie did an amazing job breaking down all of the best items by category…she deserves to sleep for a week!
- I ALWAYS trust Jenn’s opinion when it comes to style (or anything really). Look at these jeans she’s wearing too – so fun.
