A weekly series dedicated to everything from life, travel and fashion Q&A, sale finds, weekend updates, sneak peeks and more!
A little travel, life and fashion Q&A. I want to answer them ALL.
What made you decide to start writing about different topics?
I think it was around the time I wrote this post, to be honest. I noticed that when I shared other content besides what I was wearing, my readers were responding. I was able to engage with people on an entirely different level. It’s really refreshing to be able to show you my passion for writing. Obviously, it was a really easy decision to keep up with this different type of content when I noticed a spike in my page views. It was a big goal of mine to increase my page views, but I kept finding myself in a standstill. It took me a little bit to come to terms with the fact that I’d not only be a “fashion blogger” anymore. I think I’m doing a pretty okay job with juggling and incorporating both topics into my posts.
I’m coming to NYC in the fall and I’m so excited! What are your favorite things to do there?
This is obviously one of my favorite questions ever because fall is my favorite season EVER. And fall in New York City is absolute perfection. Not only is the weather beautiful, but also the city is still alive. Since winter is coming, people are trying to get their last minute outdoor activities in. I love walking through Central Park when the leaves are changing. It’s honestly one of the most beautiful places ever during October.
Here’s what I’m loving, buying and eyeing!
Now that it’s Labor Day, I’m ALL about Fall pieces. This week, New York got a sliiiight taste of fall weather and I was able to wear a sweater. LIKE WUUUUT? A SWEATER. IN AUGUST? AND I WASN’T SWEATING?! Amazing. So now I’m definitely ready to switch over my wardrobe and wear all the sweaters. I posted on Instagram here about a great Rachel Roy sale that’s going on till 9/3. The best part? Everything in the sale section is 30% off. An even better part? Use code PINKCHAMPAGNE15LDW at checkout for an additional 15% off SITEWIDE! Get to shopping! Here’s what I’ve recently picked up from the site:
- This adorable white poplin dress (sale)
- A bomber/duster hybrid
- The cutest midi dress
- This embroidered bomber (sale)
Although I’m getting ready to shop for true fall pieces, I do browse LDW sales in case there are great deals on transitional pieces (like tops to go with suede jackets and such). Some of my other favorite LDW weekend sales include:
- Etsy is having its first ever Labor Day Sale – I’m ordering these socks ASAP.
- 50% off sale at LOFT? I’ll take it.
- Urban Outfitters is offering 30% sale items.
A little recap on readers’ favorite posts from the past.
What the heck is digital eye strain anyway?
Matt and I just had our two year anniversary – so we did a little Q&A!
These things are what you should be focusing on when developing career goals.
Weekend plans, anyone?
I can’t believe summer is OVER. After Monday, we go back to short days and long work weeks. UGH. While I’m very excited for fall fashion, I’m not excited to let go of Summer Fridays *insert Kim Kardashian crying face*.
I don’t have too many wild Labor Day Weekend plans. A blowout, manicure and pedicure are in my near future;) Tonight, Matt and I are going to TopGolf with my sister, brother-in-law and his family. I’ve never been before (but I used to play golf when I was younger, so I got this), but I’m excited! Saturday isn’t supposed to be the best weather, so I’m unsure of our plans as of now. Hopefully at some point my sister and brother-in-law will have a day party/BBQ. And then my friends will probably be around, so we’ll probably go to a bar or something. Again, nothing too crazy. But I’m definitely looking forward to that three day weekend.
What are you up to this holiday weekend?
CHAMPAGNE TO GO
Ah, the jet set life…where to next?
The only exciting thing I can say right now is: Los Angeles. For a very fun. And very on brand event;) That’s all.
