The Distressed Denim Jacket

When I saw this oversized distressed denim jacket, I knew I wanted it to be mine.

I feel like the oversized distressed denim jacket is SO in right now too (I wore it on the blog here). Or at least they are among my friends. Two of my best friends have a similar one, and they look amazing in it! I love that it immediately makes any outfit super casual – which is exactly what I was looking for when I put on this particular dress. I wore it for Easter weekend when Matt and I were in Westchester to visit our families.

I put on this super cute yellow dress (last worn in this post), but felt like I was a bit too dressed up for whatever reason…and I knew I was about to be playing with my nephews shortly after getting dressed. So I added this distressed denim jacket for a little juxtaposition: feminine meets edgy.

When Matt and I were driving around, we came across these beautiful homes and decided to stop and take some pictures. Matt is getting pretty good at being behind the camera, don’t you think? I love the way these shots came out! This particular weekend was absolutely beautiful, so it was fun taking photos with him.

Back to the oversized distressed denim jacket.

Are you loving them as much as I am? I actually sized up in this one because I wanted it to be super, super casual and borderline “I just took this out of my boyfriend’s closet”. Even though Matt would NEVER wear this. But hey, it works for me.

Side note: My HB tote is amazing. And one of the best handbags I’ve ever used. It’s durable silhouette makes it perfect for work, but great for weekends too! A little fun part? That pouch you see in the front actually zips off and becomes a chain clutch! So cool, right? That’s what I love about Henri Bendel – they always find ways to make some of their pieces convertible (like my backpack – seen here).

Love this jacket! And Matt captured some gorgeous photos. My boyfriend is more willing to take blog photos for me…sometimes he’s even the one who suggests it haha!
