The best way to combat the winter cold? Add a pop of color!
THE LOOK | sweater dress, over the knee boots, blue bag c/o, sunglasses
Dressing during the winter isn’t an easy task. Especially when you’re a fashion blogger.
I’m usually dressed like this or this and really not caring about what I look like as long as I’m warm. But sometimes I hate that. That’s why when I’m in a style rut, I try to wear unexpected winter looks. When I styled this skirt and dress combo, I definitely felt more refreshed than if I wore jeans and a sweater.
But sometimes you need to be a bit more cozy and bundled.
I’m going to be completely honest. When I went over my sister’s house, I raided her closet and found this perfect sweater dress. Right now it’s on sale (and also comes in black), so I’m thinking of purchasing my own since she wouldn’t let me keep hers 😉
Since the winter dressing rut is in full swing, I’m trying to come up with ways to stay warm, but also feel good in what I’m wearing! That’s why I paired this sweater dress with my flat over the knee boots and a pop of color: My new Henri Bendel bag!
One of my favorite bags (and the one I commute with every day) is my Henri Bendel convertible backpack (which I’ve styled here). So when the team over at Henri Bendel sent over some pieces from their new collection, I was ecstatic! This gorgeous pop of blue easily adds a cool element to my winter looks even though I could have easily worn a black bag with it. I love how it’s not a gigantic bag, but definitely can fit all of my work essentials without being bulky!
PS: There’s a BIG sale at Henri Bendel that’s ending today, so jump on it while you can! I’ve linked some of my favorites from the sale below!

Thanks girl! It’s definitely a POP!
I love that backpack and not a bad price point! I need a new work bag since Im in the city one day a week. I am still using an old Kate Spade diaper bag! (Although I love the cup holders on the side)
It’s SO convenient! And I love that it converts to a normal bag as well – also I used to use a KS diaper bag as my school bag! HA!
Absolutely loving this look! Perfect for winter.
