*THROWS UP*
Kidding. I think love is a really cool thing. Right now, I’m really happy with where I am in life (read: I’m happy being single). But of course there are MANY things I love. My family, my friends, my job, running champagne, etc.
Thanks to Hallie, I read the article that tells us we can, in fact, fall in love with anyone. All in all, mutual vulnerability can help facilitate the feelings that are necessary to “fall in love”. That’s cool, no?
Naturally, Hallie was a badass and took this idea to a whole new level. She thought it would be an awesome idea to relate it to the blog world….and I’m absolutely on board with that!
Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest? Hands down, Justin Timberlake. For many (some obvious) reasons.
Would you like to be famous? In what way? Nah, I don’t think so. Well-known in my industry (whether that’s the fashion industry or blog industry), definitely. But not famous, I wouldn’t be able to handle that.
Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why? Only if it’s to like a customer service line or something….I don’t even know why! I just want to make sure my story/question is really good before I tell/ask them!
What would constitute a “perfect” day for you? Hmm. I think a lot of days can be considered “perfect” if they’re generally good days. But let’s see – right now, I would have to say a day that consisted of this: Brunch (bottomless, obviously), shopping, walking around the city, and then going to a hockey game at night.
When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else? I currently just sang “My Back Is On Fire” – a rendition of “This Girl Is On Fire” by Alecia Keys – to my sister because I was sitting next to the fire and my back was really burning up.
If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30-year-old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want? Probably the mind. I get it, when you get older, your body really starts shutting down on you. But, I look at my 92-year old grandmother, who seriously has ALL OF HER MARBLES, and I think about how much I want that when I’m 92!
Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die? Omg. No. But I hope it’s in a peaceful way.
Name three things you and your partner appear to have in common. For the sake of this…we’re going to go with readers/gal pals. So three things we have in common: 1) Fashion, 2) Champagne, 3) Reading/Writing
For what in your life do you feel most grateful? All of the opportunities I’ve been given within the past year. My blog has grown and I have such an amazing job. I couldn’t be happier as a 22-year old!
If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be? Probably the ability to take anyone’s pain away. Yeah…I’d want that ability.
If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future or anything else, what would you want to know? Whether or not I’ll be successful and be able to help provide for my family.
Is there something that you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it? Travel. Man oh man, I gotta get on that.
What is the greatest accomplishment of your life? Graduating from college and starting my first big girl job in less than one month.
What do you value most in a friendship? Loyalty, love, and ability to have an amazing time together, no matter what you’re doing.
If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why? Be more present and stop worrying about myself. I’d want to live my life for others because seeing people happy makes me happy.
What does friendship mean to you? Someone who makes you laugh hard as hell and will be there for you, no questions asked (and you do the same in return).
What roles do love and affection play in your life? I am a HUGE advocate of being affectionate. I always make sure I give my mom and dad plenty of hugs, tell my family and friends I love them constantly, and overall try to have a more loving/caring approach when it comes to life and people.
How close and warm is your family? Do you feel your childhood was happier than most other people’s? Ya know what? I do. I had an amazing childhood, filled with so many memories. I was so lucky to have parents who wanted to give me whatever they could, I think that really played a role in my personality today. My family is definitely warm and close, I love them a lot;)
How do you feel about your relationship with your mother? Man oh man, that woman. She’s a saint. She’s been there for me more than anyone else ever will be. She knows me inside and out, and better than I know myself. Ask ANYONE who has met her – they wouldn’t be able to say ONE bad thing about my mother. Except me: I have one bad thing to say – she’s kind of a hoarder;) (I’m just kidding, Mom!!!). But on a serious note, if I become half the woman/mother she is, I’ll be more than happy.
Tell your partner (READ: READERS) what you like about them; be very honest this time, saying things that you might not say to someone you’ve just met. You’re all amazing. Seriously, in every single way. The fact that I have this little space to come to and talk to people I don’t know IRL is just crazy.
When did you last cry in front of another person? By yourself? Like two nights ago with my friend Chris because he made me watch Lone Survivor.
If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven’t you told them yet? How much I love and appreciate them. Yeah, we’ll leave it at that.
Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? Crap. This is such a tough one. Probably my phone or computer (I’m really hoping my phone was in my pocket or something).
Of all the people in your family, whose death would you find most disturbing? Why? I could never choose one: My parents and my sister. Those three people are my rock, my entire world.
