Well hello there. I’ve 100% neglected the blog for the past week because, well, I was too busy getting my drink, tan, and fun on in California. I almost didn’t come back (JK, JK, New York > California).
Buuuuuut, anyways… (I apologize in advance for the photo overload.)
We got to LAX around 10:30am on Friday, which meant we had the ennnntire day ahead of us. It was perfect. As soon as this picture was taken, I took my cashmere scarf off and really enjoyed the beating sun.
My friend, Kelly, lives in Santa Monica – literally 10 minutes from the pier. I snapped this picture before we all ran down to the beach (as if we haven’t seen one of those ever) to tan.
First night out meant Veuve Clicquot was a necessity. #PopFizzTravel
My sister brought home a few Kate Spade bathing suits to bring on my trip and they’re the only ones I wore! They are so adorable, and I love that high-waisted bottoms are making a huge comeback. PS: This was before my tan;)
I wore this adorable Windsor dress as a coverup for most of the day (only because I knew I would be too lazy to change into my bathing suit). So easy to just throw on, belt it, and be on my way. Definitely going to be a staple in my closet this Spring/Summer.
Another Kate Spade bathing suit – this one is my favorite (linked above).
Me and my pretty gal pals. We rented a boat for the afternoon and rode around Marina del Rey and in the ocean. As we were getting settled on the boat, the guy said, “This is the party boat, so you guys can start drinking.” YES SIR;)
Every morning started with a walk to The Coffee Bean, it was glorious. Sitting outside in the sun with a iced coffee was the best way to start the day. On this particular morning, I was reppin’ SoulCycle. So happy it’s become such a big part of my life!
There was like an hour wait for brunch…so obviously I made my friends snap some pictures of me;) Full outfit post coming soon!
I snapped this photo while walking on Rodeo Drive. Yep, cause that’s basically all I can do. One day I’ll be able to afford things on that street;) I swear.
A pre-flight SoulCycle class was the perfect ending to my time in California. It was a great sweat, I pushed myself harder than ever, and I was tired enough to fall asleep on the red-eye back to New York;)
If you’re still with me, I applaud you. And I hope you’re having an excellent Monday!
