Remember on Monday I mentioned how I thought I was never going to be the girl who wears navy and black together? Well, I also thought I was never going to be the girl to wear a drop waist dress.
And look what we have here.
When I found this drop waist dress at Nordstrom Rack, I was mostly drawn to it because of the cool watercolor print. I really liked the beige and blues mixed together, and decided to give the drop waist a try. And obviously, I really liked it (because it made the blog, duh). The fit is a bit larger than expected, but I usually gravitate towards oversized dresses anyway — and the asymmetrical hem is a plus 😉 I’ve worn it to work with tights and booties, and it still looks great! Once the weather really warms up, I’ll definitely pair with a good pair of pumps.
Now real quick: this brand is new to me – Everleigh. Have you heard of it? I’m still trying to decipher the exact aesthetic of the brand, but I like the mix of prints, textures, femininity and comfort that the dresses have. You can get a cozy knit dress for weekend errands or a fancier dress with lace for a night out on the town.
PS: The wind was so ridiculous while shooting this look – which is why my hair looks like that 😉
