I feel like I recently mentioned how I’m trying to be less trendy when it comes to my closet. And then I started seeing clogs.
Both luxury, contemporary, and beyond brands have come out with some sort of interpretation of the clog, and it’s quickly becoming one of those trends people love to hate. Typically, I’m on the “hate” side of trends, but this time, I caved.
I think the revival of the clog (and the more casual, clunky mule) comes in part of it’s comfortable characteristic. We live in a world where we were stuck inside our homes for a year (or more). Comfort became EVERYTHING. So I really do think that’s why clogs were able to squeeze their way into making a comeback. I mean slip on and go…hellooooo WINNER.
I also happen to think they’re both casual and polished at the same time. Also, they’re very versatile! I can definitely take this specific pair from Spring/Summer to Fall/Winter.
I wasn’t that sure of how I was going to wear these clogs. But I put them on and just thought they were so cute. I threw on this outfit and posted to my Instagram Stories, and then realized I actually loved how it turned out. I think it’s the perfect casual outfit, and a fun way to add some height to your look. This is definitely a more casual look — something I would wear to a fun dinner with the girls. Take off the hat, add a t-shirt, and then I’d be ready to go run some errands!
There are SO many ways to style clogs — so you’ll definitely see them again around here soon.
