What I’m Wearing For The Holidays

I’m so so so excited for the holidays!!! I can’t believe Christmas is less than two weeks away. I feel like it was just Halloween or something though, but anyway, I digress.

I had an entirely different post scheduled for today, but then I realized this one might be more fun. Also, most retailers have a shipping cut off of this week (been seeing a lot of 12/17 and 12/18 dates floating around), so I wanted to share some last minute holiday outfit ideas — what I plan on wearing for Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. This way if you needed help getting dressed for the holidays, you still have time to order!

PS: J.Crew is still having an INSANE SALE (up to 70% off!!!) that I really recommend checking out. Our end of season cashmere sale is still going strong, but things are definitely starting to sell out. Cashmere is one of the basics in my wardrobe ALL YEAR ROUND, believe it or not.

Christmas Eve Holiday Outfit Idea

I would say Christmas Eve is my “dressier” holiday. My family gets together at my cousins’ house and there are A LOT of us. I think since Christmas Eve isn’t hosted by my parents or my sister, I feel like I should be dressed up more. Last year I wore a corduroy shirt dress, tights, and boots. This year, I’m thinking of wearing a skirt and sweater combo of some sort. I just ordered this skirt and thinking of pairing it with this cashmere sweater and some boots or Chanel flats. I also had my eye on this blackwatch dress (60% off!), but have been into skirts more lately, so went with that outfit instead.

And as you may have guessed, Christmas is my more casual outfit. Which might be backwards for many of you, so feel free to swap inspo;) I still wanted to be festive, so I bought this shirt from J.Crew (ON SALE), and I’m probably just going to wear with my favorite jeans and this belt. There’s something nice about being comfortable, yet put together on Christmas, right?

New Year’s Eve Holiday Outfit Idea

And finally, New Year’s Eve. I am the girl who absolutely hates New Year’s Eve, so I really enjoy staying in. Two years ago, I was cozied up on Allie’s parent’s couch as we rang in 2021, and last year Rob and I were struggling to stay awake till midnight – and I loved it.

So for me, New Year’s Eve is COMFORTABLE AND NOTHING LESS. I’m probably going to reach for my Lou & Grey sweats and some cashmere socks while I stuff my face with some delicious frozen apps (hello, pigs in a blanket, anyone?!).

Okay, now tell me…what kind of vibes are you thinking for holiday outfits?!
