Honestly, I was really sad to say goodbye to 2014. It was such an amazing year filled with opportunities, growth, good times and great memories – definitely a year I will never forget.
With that being said, I’m really excited about 2015. It’s my first official year in the real world. I’m an adult now. And that’s pretty cool. I’m going to continue the positive vibes that 2014 created and keep it going in 2015. Big things are going to happen, I can feel it!
I’ve never been much of a resolution person…mostly because I’m bad at keeping promises to myself. But I am a fan of goals. I believe having something to reach for is the most important thing in life.
So, here are some of my goals for 2015:
Travel More I love traveling. But I don’t travel that often. So for 2015, I vow to get out and see different places. Whether that’s hopping in the car and going on a road trip or heading to the airport and exploring a new place…I’m going to do it.
Plan More And Do The Little Things If you’ve been reading my blog, you know I’m a fan of the little things (here and here). In 2015, I want to plan fun little events with my family and friends doing something memorable, something that’s not ordinary and make memories out of the little things.
Control the $$$ I have a spending problem. We all know that (the first step is admitting it, no?). Student loans are about to kick in…in two weeks to be exact and that honestly makes me a little nervous. With my spending habits, credit card bills, and my tendency to go out almost every night, I realized I need to cut WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back. Tips/tricks/moral support are greatly appreciated.
Reach Out More I couldn’t be more proud of this little space called Pink Champagne Problems. But this blog would be nothing more than a diary for me if it weren’t for you! I am so thrilled to have people that come to my blog every day and support it. So in 2015, I vow to reach out more to my amazing readers. I want to get to know you on a more personal level – shoot me an email, let’s become snail mail pals, Instagram friends, friends IRL – all of it!
Running I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with running. Lately, I’ve been serrrriously slacking. Well, now it’s officially three months until my 3rd half marathon. And I’m about to sign up for my 4th. Yesterday, I kicked myself in the butt to get started and bought new running trainers. This purchase was definitely necessary because I had been putting way too many miles on my old trainers (over 4 years, and you’re supposed to buy new trainers every three months when you’re training for long distance races)
Read More I used to be such a book nerd. Ever since I started working, I really strayed from reading an actual book. Definitely send over your recommendations!
Get Into A Better Routine I really need to stop going to bed at midnight. Ideally, I would like to be sleeping by 10pm (on weeknights, of course) and get up around 6am to do some kind of work out. Then, I would like to get home from work and get my butt to the gym or out for a run.
Say Yes More To Help Others Sometimes, you just don’t want to say yes. But sometimes, someone really needs you to say that 3-letter word. I want to be less selfish in 2015, and help others along the way.
Once again, an endless amount of thank you’s. Blogging has become one of the best and biggest parts of my life, and I’m looking forward to this next year on Pink Champagne Problems. So let’s say goodbye to 2014 and HELLOOOOO 2015.
xx Dana
