One of my favorite things to do every season is switch over my wardrobe for fall outfits.
Something about it makes me very excited. I love going through bins on bins on bins of clothing I’ve stored away and pulling out pieces I forgot about. (Yes, I know. Isn’t that the best part?)
Although I’ve basically been shopping nonstop over the last few weeks, I’m all about remixing pieces that I’ve had for a few seasons with more recent pieces!
BLANKET SCAVES AND BOYFRIEND JEANS

This look from last Fall is one of my favorites…and it should be for obvious reasons. I love that after three seasons, blanket scarves are still a thing. Each season, a few retailers (like Nordstrom, ASOS, and Zara) release their blanket scarves in August – which is clearly way too hot to even think about blanket scarves. Yet, I bought a few anyway because I was fearful they’d sell out in a minute (because they used to). Luckily, there’s so many different options out there that there’s enough to go around.
Next up, my boyfriend jeans. This pair is as good as it’s going to get. They’re the best fit, the best cuff, and the best wash. Wear them more casually or with heels, like I did in this post. I highly recommend this pair!

PLAID VESTS AND OVER THE KNEE BOOTS
(original post here)
When I first got this vest last year (around this time exactly), and it’s continually proven to be one of my best purchases. I’m still all about these kinds of sleeveless outerwear pieces – I think they’re so cool, don’t you? This particular vest happened to pair perfectly with my favorite over the knee boots. For a while, they were my only pair of OTK boots (I just picked up these). Which means I wore them…a lot. With a swing dress, with a retro look, and with a leather jacket.

TWEED, BLAZERS, AND LEATHER
(original post here)
Blazers are quintessential for a New Yorker’s uniform (or you could go the all-black route, like I did here). Every once in a while, it’s good to switch it up from your classic blazer. That’s why I picked up a tweed blazer. Since my preppy days are long and gone (talked about that here), my leather pants sure did come in clutch. Of fall my fall outfits last year, this one was one of my favorites. A little bit of classic with a little bit of edge.
