If there is one thing that I could do all the time, it would be to travel across the world.
I grew up in a family where my dad traveled ALL the time for work. He would be going to China once a month and only be there for 24 hours at a time..crazy huh? I forget the stat but he has gone to so many different countries and my mom was luckily able to tag along too (my invite must have gotten lost in the mail). With that being said, whenever I would have vacation from school my dad would want to either chill at home or go somewhere relaxing (understandable). We went on a trip to London when I was in 2nd grade, went to the Caribbean every summer since I was in kindergarten, France, and most recently to Ireland. We obviously traveled throughout the United States but for the sake of it, I’m not going to touch on that. Ever since I have gotten older, I’ve found it so fun to travel with friends and plan something so I have something to look forward to. Being on Instagram definitely doesn’t help because man some ladies get to travel to the coolest places! I decided that I wanted to put together a list of the places that I want to travel to so I can hopefully hold myself accountable and get these places checked off my list.
Nantucket, Massachusetts.
This may come as a shocker since I was born and raised in Connecticut but I’ve never been to Nantucket! Every summer my family and I would go to Cape Cod for a week however we never made it to Nantucket. I think I may have convinced Allie and Dana that we need to rent a house there for a week next summer so I think I’ll be checking this one off the list relatively soon!
Napa, California.
Ah, wine. Love me some good wine. I’ve been wanting to go on a girls wine tour for YEARS in Napa. All my friends are clearly no fun because it isn’t a place on their travel to-do list. I think it would be so much fun! Who can say no to wine? Apparently all my friends can.
Nashville, Tennesse.
Nashville is really only on the list because I want to go to the Draper James store in hopes I meet my idol Reese Witherspoon. I’ve opened up the doors to country music over the past 2 years (I’m so proud of myself) so I feel like I would actually enjoy the Nashville scene. I also feel like a loser for not making it down here yet.
Austin, Texas.
My parents say that Austin won’t be a good place for me to visit because I won’t want to leave. Austin is supposed to be a really cool city with some great people. I secretly think I should move down South and Austin has always sparked my interest.
Italy.
This is hopefully our next family vacation for next year! I’ve been wanting to go to Italy for YEARS. And I’m glad we are planning a trip when I’m older so I can actually appreciate the history, food, and culture. I’m not entirely sure exactly where we will be going but I’ll be sure to update you as the planning continues!
Greece.
Greece is such a beautiful place. Whenever I see someone go there on Instagram I immediately get envious. It is absolutely stunning and think it would be such a neat place to explore.
