Elles Edit: Travel With Me- Naples, Florida

My second trip this summer was heading down to Naples, Florida to visit my family!

Some of you may be saying, why on earth would she go down to Florida in the middle of summer? Well to be honest with you, I asked myself the same question. However, I knew it wasn’t going to be all that bad considering the weather forecast for NYC was going to be even warmer than Naples. I was pleasantly surprised with the weather and how it wasn’t all that bad given the nice Gulf of Mexico sea breeze! Anyways, some background here…my parents moved down to Naples about 2 years ago full time and absolutely love it. They live in a gorgeous community that has 2 golf courses, a beach club, tennis courts, a gym, and a massive club house. It feels like adult summer camp! Going down to Naples is always such a treat visiting my family but of course enjoying that Florida sunshine!

Naples is known to be the sister city to Palm Beach but on the west coast and they aren’t kidding. It is so charming and everyone is really friendly. Since I’ve been down to Naples more than a handful of times now, I wanted to put together a list of things you should add to your list if you can make it down to Naples.

What To Do

The Beach– duh! Naples has some incredible beaches and what would a trip to Florida be without going to the beach?

Naples Zoo– this is a hidden gem! I went to the Zoo in December with my mom because I was literally bored out of my mind and needed to find something to do. I’ve heard such great things about the Zoo but never had time to go. I was very impressed! It is a good sized zoo and you can definitely spend half a day here. Be sure to wear your sunscreen and some comfortable shoes!

Naples Pier– it is such an iconic Pier and not to mention an incredible view

Shopping– Fifth Avenue / Third Street South / Waterside Shops are the top 3 places that I love to go to when I’m in town. Be prepared to shop until you drop. There are so many great shops, both high end and normal end so it does not disappoint

Naples Botanical Garden and Audubon Corkscrew Sanctuary– haven’t been but definitely on my list! But if it as beautiful as our community, I’m sold!

Where To Stay

My parents house! JK. Before we purchased a home in Naples we would always stay at the Ritz located on the beach. There are 2 Ritz locations, one at the beach and one on a golf course. What I’ve learned is that if you stay at the golf course property (cheaper than the beach location) you get a free shuttle every day to the property on the beach. Win win situation if you ask me!

Where To Eat

Sea Salt– my favorite spot in all of Naples! The seafood is divine.

Kilwins Ice Cream or Royal Scoop– ice cream is my favorite food so you bet I treated myself all the time. Wouldn’t you?

Bleu Provence– a cute little French bistro

HobNob– this restaurant is located at the heart of downtown and has such a fun atmosphere! The food is delish too

Have you been to Naples before? Would love to hear if you have it on your list!
