Elle’s Edit: November Favorites

Can you believe another month is behind us?

I’ve seen these posts before where people round out their favorites for the month and my friend Fran inspired me to do the same. I love reading what people have been up to as it inspires me to try something new. This month sure was an interesting one and felt long but short at the same time, does that make sense?! I left NYC on election day to go to Naples, FL to spend time with my family for Thanksgiving and through Christmas / New Years. The election coverage obviously lasted longer than we anticipated and that week sure felt like a lifetime in of itself. Work was extremely busy this month leading up to Cyber Monday (I work in eCommerce) and closing out the rest of the year. And of course, Thanksgiving! One of my favorite holidays. This year definitely felt different for many reasons but I am thankful I was able to spend time with my parents as I know many were unable to do so. Now… we head into December! The best part of the year as it is just so magical with all the decorations leading up to Christmas and New Years! So without further ado let’s get to it.

listening

If you know me, I am the absolute worst with listening to different music or experimenting with new music. I like to stick with what I like and I am starting to get sick and tired of listening to the same playlist over and over. I spent this month listening to a lot of Country and Taylor Swift with some rap thrown in there to get me through stressful days at work. For the month of December I want to get back into Discover Weekly on spotify and EXPLORE some new music. But let’s be real, I’ll be spending all month listening to Christmas music because duh it is December after all!

watching

I feel like I’ve watched a lot of new shows this month! I am watching The Crown right now with my parents and enjoying it so far. I watched Teacher…very scandalous but actually enjoyed watching. Queens Gambit which I enjoyed but to be honest I didn’t love and I fast forwarded through the last 2 episodes because I lost interest. Obviously the Bachelorette but starting to lose interest in that to as I typically get more into it the beginning of the season and when it is the final 4. This month is all about Christmas movies!

wearing

Since I’ve been working from home…still, it is the same old same old. Being in Florida has made me bring out my shorts more often than I obviously used to but I always pair it with a t-shirt and then I throw on a sweatshirt because I always get cold when I’m working. I wore this top for Thanksgiving from Anthro (of course I can’t find it online so I can’t link it…this is why I’m not a blogger) and purchased it a couple of months back in black and looking forward to wearing it during the holidays. I wore this top that everyone keeps raving about going out to dinner with my parents and received so many compliments!

exercising

If I’m being honest I really really miss going to the gym, Rumble, Soul Cycle, and SLT. I had a Rumble package that I bought last year and obviously still had 30 remaining classes so I asked them if I could transfer them to their virtual classes and they said yes so I’ve been doing that 1-2 times per week and enjoying it! If you don’t know what Rumble is, it is a boxing class but they incorporate more HIIT workouts into their virtual class. Definitely a good work out! Other than that I’ve been playing a lot of tennis and golf now that I’m down in Florida and really enjoying it and being outside!

hair

Just like Fran, I’ve been using my Revlon Hairwrap Dryer and really do love it for the blow out look! I don’t use it every time I wash my hair as it isn’t the best for your hair but I love how it makes my hair shiny and put together.

eating

ALL the food.. it is the holidays after all! We have been using Hello Fresh lately to give my mom a break from thinking of what to cook and we have been enjoying it! We had stuffed peppers last night that were fabulous and tomorrow night we have a ramen dish! Other than that I’ve been trying many different brands of crackers and Trader Joe’s and Carrs always will continue to be my favorites!

drinking

All the champagne and wine! To be honest with you that is really all that I drink when I’m home. If we go out to dinner I either get a martini or a mule but to feel all the cozy vibes I’m all about wine and the champagne! Outside of alcohol, I’ve been using my Dad’s Nespresso and making myself an iced coffee every day and frothing some milk 1-2x a week and making it an at home latte! I even used the left over whipped cream from Thanksgiving and put it in my coffee and let me tell you….delish! Definitely won’t be doing that very often or I won’t be able to fit into my pants.

What are your favorites from the month of Novemeber?
