The internet can be a really interesting place during this time but I’ve found some great hidden gems.
With all the uncertainty in the world and all the negativity and sadness in the news, the blogging community has really stepped up and provided some great content. Stories of inspiration, recipes, fashion, are just a couple of examples of the great work on the internet. As a non blogger I still love and enjoy my morning routine of reading all my favorite bloggers. Why? Well, I still find posts to be inspirational and just happy. I applaud all of you who are going through this difficult time all while providing great posts to get our mind off things OR to bring awareness to the good that is happening right now. With that being said, below are a couple of posts that I’ve read recently that I think you would all enjoy.
10 Ways to Try Something New While You’re Staying Home– Since we’ve been in quarantine now for what 10 weeks? We are probably all looking for some ideas of what to do as this continues. I love the tips in this post especially the first one, ‘define the day’. Find a purpose while finding the blessings of being home during this time. Another one is journaling. My friend, Kelly, is writing in her journal during all of this to not only collect her thoughts but to also document each day so she never forgets this time.
I Struggle With Friendships– Jayne wrote an incredible post here and was very vulnerable to share this. I know every single one of you have dealt with a hardship when it comes to your friendship. Jayne makes it feel like we are not alone and did a great job actually talking about the struggle with friendships.
Your Guide to Saving Money to Travel the World– Why not save money during this time so when we can travel you can travel the whole world? Such a great post and it breaks down the steps of how to get there and what to think of. I definitely have an itch to travel, as I know everyone does, but it won’t be happening for a while. If you know you want to go somewhere, put money aside and start saving to make it a trip of a lifetime.
What Is Life Going To Be Like When This Is All Over– Oh Grace, you’ve done it again. Grace is by far one of my favorite bloggers. She has such a beautiful way of telling a story while at the same time feeling like she is your best friend. This post was a good one and I highly suggest you reading to it. I also am a big fan of her Weekly Distraction, which truly is a great distraction and a fun/light read.
5 Signs You’ve Burned Out (And How to Begin to Recover)– I loved this post and can totally relate. My work life balance is in the toilet during all of this and I constantly feel like I have to be “on” which is not the slightest bit healthy. I’m trying to be a little better each day but it is a marathon and not a sprint if you will.
Graduation Weekend– My heart breaks for the seniors in high school and college. I love how Fran made the most out of the current situation and still celebrated all her accomplishments.
What are some of your favorite blog posts that you’ve read in quarantine?
