The Date Night Ideas With Maggy London

I am one of those girls that is always down for date night. Like always. So when I’m challenged to come up with some fun and new date night ideas, I’m always ready for it.

So you could imagine how excited Matt is when he has to constantly come up with new date night ideas. I decided I need to step in and help him out.

5 New York City Date Night Ideas

Head to the new iPic theater. We have yet to check this off our list, but a brand new movie theater opened by the seaport. It’s a little on the expensive side, but it looks like a ridiculous experience (you basically lay down, eat and drink and watch the movie). We’re waiting for a movie we’re both really dying to see.

Challenge each other at Barcade. Matt is a video game nerd. So one night we headed to one of my favorite Italian spots, San Marzano, and then walked to Barcade to play some video games. I personally love good ol’ PacMan or the Ninja Turtles.

Find a rooftop bar. This is one of my FAVORITE Spring/Summer activities. On our first date, Matt and I hit up two different rooftop bars – I knew he was a keeper. First up, Pod 51 hotel. There’s a great Mexican restaurant where we started the date, and then headed upstairs to the rooftop. I stuck to rosé for the most part…until we headed to the next bar. We walked to Refinery Rooftop (a personal favorite of mine), and had a few fireball shots and some beers before heading our separate ways for the night. Spoiler alert: we have been inseparable ever since;)

Walk cute puppies. This is on our list for sure! Spend a gorgeous Spring or Summer evening walking an adorable puppy or dog from a local shelter. I’m nervous that I’m not going to be able to walk away without taking one home with us!

Get competitive. Matt and I are always one-upping each other (in a funny way). So when it comes to golf (he plays currently, I used to play when I was younger), we like to get competitive. It’s always fun to head to the Chelsea Piers golf range. PS: It closes at midnight during in-season!

And although it’s always fun to get out and do new things, some of my favorite date nights include getting dressed up and going to dinner. It really gives Matt and I a chance to put our phones away and just be present. Although this Maggy London dress is definitely a head-turner, but that’s what I’m usually going for when it’s date night. The colors are SO bold and that’s what I really love about it! And are you seeing a pattern with my favorite dresses from the collection? I’m so into the offer the shoulder/cold shoulder silhouette! Check out the last two posts here and here.

I Love Maggy London dresses and this one is just perfect on you! So many fun colors and the off the shoulder detail makes it perfect for spring and summer. Date nights are so much fun and it sounds like you have some great ideas. We always love visiting a rooftop bar when we’re in the city. I will have to check both of those out. Beautifully Candid
