If you’re not new around here, it’s no surprise I love all things champagne…and Veuve Clicquot is at the top of my “things I love most” list. So prepare yourself for the photo overload.
Every year, there’s really only one thing I look forward to (that’s a lie, but let me be dramatic), and that’s the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. Allie and I have made it a tradition to go since 2016. Since then we’ve added Los Angeles Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic to the mix, Elle has finally joined us in the Rose Garden, and we always save Jenn and Bob seats next to us (J&B, WE ARE HAPPY TO DO IT, SO STOP FEELING BAD).
This year, Allie, Elle and I kicked off the morning with Dunkin Donuts (all. the. coffee) and Glamsquad. This was our first ever appointment with Glamsquad and they were absolutely amazing! I asked for a no-make up make up dewy look and that’s exactly what I got. I knew I was going to be wearing a hat, so I just needed a regular blowout. The convenience of Glamsquad is just too good, and I’m definitely going to be booking appointments more often.
Around 9:45AM, we made our way over to Battery Park to hop on a ferry with so many well-dressed human beings and the journey to Liberty State Park began. The last two years, there were pedicabs available, and honestly, it was the best $10 I ever spent;) It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the actual event ground, and I was already very sweaty…so this cab basically saved me.
When we got to the grounds, I was immediately so happy and so excited. The atmosphere is just amazing, and I was so ready for the day to officially begin. We made our way to the Rose Garden to find the best seats in the house: Under a tent (no sun, phew), and a little spot with two couches and chairs for all 5 of us. Allie and I got photos out of the way, and grabbed our first bottle of champagne.
Once Jenn and Bob arrived, the party really started. It’s always fun to catch up with these two perfect humans. We drank, we laughed, we watched polo, and we ran to the bathroom to enjoy 5 minutes of air conditioning;) We truly lived our best lives this day.
I cannot say enough good things about Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. It’s one of the most put together events I’ve ever been to…and obviously way too Instagrammable (in the best way ever). It’s also one of the most fashionable events I’ve ever attended. There’s SO much to see and do, and honestly, the day just goes by too fast!
