GREEN IN THE PARK

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words Central Park?

Is it the place you first learned to ride a bike? Is it the place where you ran a race? Is it the place you’ve dreamed of going to since you were little? Is it the place from a scene from your favorite movie (Elf and Home Alone 2 come to my mind, ha! – fun fact: As of 2011, Central Park became the most filmed place..see a list of the movies here)?

Central Park is, without a doubt, one of the most iconic places in New York City. I mean if you think about it, how freakin’ awesome is it that we have a gigantic playground in the middle of the concrete jungle?!

A few weekends ago, I trekked crosstown to meet Lydia and Allie for a little fun in the park (aka to shoot some looks). It’s incredible to think about all of the possible locations that we could have shot at. In reality, we only covered a very small portion of the park. In the minimal time we spent there, we saw a choir, another photoshoot, singing Frozen characters, people riding in the boats, and a tour guide using a lightsaber as his walking stick.

For those that don’t live in NYC, they must think people are freakin’ strange. But for me, it’s normal. This is New York City. And I love it.
