Sometimes your date night outfit doesn’t include a LBD.
THE LOOK | zara top (identical), topshop jeans, louboutin booties (budget-friendly option), chanel bag (budget-friendly option), celine sunglasses (similar)
And that’s when you get this look.
Matt and I aren’t very fancy people, most days and nights we just like sitting in and doing nothing. We do eat a lot of candy (we both have a major sweet tooth). So that’s good;) Most Fridays we’re pretty tired from work, and I usually shoot on Saturday mornings so I don’t want to get crazy. And then on Saturday nights, we usually talk ourselves out of going out because it’s cold and there’s a movie we want to watch.
But this year, we’re trying to get to take more advantage of being in the city — a.k.a I’m trying to get him to do more with me. Occasionally, we do go out to dinner and drinks and that’s when I get “dressed up”. Which in fact, isn’t really dressed up at all. But this date night outfit is just too easy.
For whatever reason, I love pairing jeans with heels. And this date night outfit is tried and true. Since it is winter, my Louboutin booties are a great option from my usual go to heels. And although I love a good t-shirt (I just got this destroyed one for $30!), sometimes a feminine top is the way to go. Sometimes I like adding a little edge to my looks (like in this post here), so I decided to pair this top with my grey destroyed denim. I’ve had this pair for almost two years and they STILL have shape – which is funny because they’re extremely stretchy. And if you’re not into ripped jeans, this dark rinse pair will never fail you.
