Being a fashion blogger is tough.
I know, I know — I choose to take my coat off when it’s 20 degrees and windy outside in the busy streets of Manhattan. Like a moron. Although I truly love to have this little space to share my looks with you, I’m just going to go ahead and say it………….
THE WINTER FREAKIN’ SUCKS.
Luckily, it hasn’t been too cold (uhm, remember when I wore this dress in January?) in NYC lately. I really can’t complain too much about it. But this last weekend, man, it was bone-chilling cold. Like, me and my boyfriend didn’t leave the apartment….and when we did – it was for brunch. (Because, you always should brave the winter elements for brunch.)
On days when I really can’t stand getting dressed, I usually reached for one of my cashmere sweaters. Aside from the obvious coziness and extra warmth, cashmere always looks so luxe to me. I decided to pair them with pants that I may not typically gravitate towards – but I love the quilting details and the “liquid/scuba” fabric is so cool and surprisingly comfy!
Although it was NYFW, I actually stayed far away from the chaos (and mostly stayed in sweatpants during the kickoff). Of course there were a few exceptions, like dinner and brunch with some old and new blogger gals (Kristyn, Laura, Jenn and Lauren) – but other than that I just couldn’t find the energy to get into the NYFW spirit. Luckily, I got to follow along on Snapchat and Instagram thanks to my favorite bloggers!
