The Statement Booties: London Edition

This is what you wear when you find black statement booties that everyone will stare at.

If there’s one thing I noticed about London girls, it was that they looked effortlessly chic. And just really cool. They all had another thing in common: some sort of statement piece.

Lucky for me, I had these black statement booties packed in my suitcase.

I’ve been seriously eyeing the Chloe Susanna booties for basically ever. But since they were so bold, I could NOT justify the price tag. So like I do with most designer items I want, I just pass them up and forget about them. *insert Jordan crying face meme*

But of course, the fashion gods were on my side. Again.

I was actually on Matt’s laptop one night and seriously, by chance, I stumbled upon these booties. This was about a week before my trip to London, so I ordered them and PRAYED that they would come in time. And of course they came the night I was leaving, so perfect.

When it comes to styling these black statement booties, the best way to wear them is to throw on all of your favorite black pieces. And that’s it;) The booties are too cool to be paired with other things that may be a distraction…or just too much. Luckily, my favorite black denim happens to be a ripped pair, so it helps increase the cool factor…so I could fit in with those London girls.

I ended up wearing this look only for a few hours because Allie and I were just EXHAUSTED after our flight. We actually got in around 9AM (4AM NY time), and forced ourselves to stay awake until 8PM because we wanted to fight the jet lag. So what did we do? Got some chic blowouts and then took some outfit photos. But the rest of the day was rough. In the end, it was so worth it because we weren’t ridiculously jet lagged AND it made our 6AM wake up call for Buckingham Palace much easier!
