7 Recent Things I’ve Bought & Loved

I don’t know about you, but a new season typically puts me in the mood to SHOP.

Ok, everything makes me want to shop. For OBVIOUS reasons, there was a point where I was mainly concerned with buying all things cozy for being at home.

Now that things are opening up and getting into “our new normal”, I’ve been so excited to get dressed. I wrote this post a few weeks back about 4 easy dresses to wear, but I realized I’ve purchased some other really great pieces.

When my friend wore a cute pearl chain on her sunglasses on her bachelorette party, I was like HMM THOSE ARE SUPER CUTE. Then, I started seeing them more and more on Instagram, so I decided I needed a cute chain. I went directly to Amazon because I figured there would be some cute, inexpensive options. And there was! I ordered three chains and I LOVE THEM. They’re not only practical (aka no more throwing your sunglasses in your bag when you go into a store or restaurant), but also add a little accessory to your look.

I wrote about these masks in this post, but I need to rave about them again. I LOVE THEM. I know these in particular are a little pricier for a mask, but honestly, I wear them the most. I think they’re SO fun. They’re also really lightweight, so my face is definitely less sweaty.

camo shortalls

I’m a big camo gal. I’ve always been drawn to cozy pieces that were camo. Last year, I almost purchased these overalls. I’m glad I didn’t, because I just don’t think I’d wear them in the Fall/Winter. So I looked at these shortalls and purchased them. Again, LOOOOOOOOVE THEM. They’re so fun to throw on for errands, and it’s just an easy, no brainer look. You can wear them with sneakers or sandals, throw on a denim jacket, pair with a muscle tee, or save them and wear a long sleeve tee underneath when the weather starts cooling down. The options are endless and it’s funny because they’re camo…but I consider them such a neutral!

I don’t know why, but I’ve been SUPER into jewelry lately. I seriously have NEVER been a jewelry gal. I mean, I like statement earrings and my go-to necklaces, but everything was pretty simple. Now, I’m on a binge. I’ve ordered rings, necklaces, and anklets. I turn to Etsy when I have a certain piece sort of on my mind. I feel like if I search something, I’m most likely going to find it on Etsy. I also like supporting small business owners who use Etsy as a platform!

Ok, this wasn’t a recent purchase, but I realized it’s still in stock! This dress was such a hit towards the end of last summer/early fall. I bought it in soooo many colors (ok, three to be exact), and I LOVE THEM. They’re like a step up from a nightgown (also the Amazon nightgown dress is a great alternative at a lower price point). The flowy silhouette is exactly what I want in my life during warmer (and let’s be honest, cooler) months. The subtle embroidery and rope ties give it a little elevation. I like pairing mine with sneakers or loafers.

I quite literally just purchased two pairs of these Birks on a whim. I absolutely LOVE my suede Birkenstocks. I realized I needed a black pair and was torn if I should get suede or leather. I ended up seeing this pair on Instagram, and someone said they were comfortable. I looked into them and thought they were so cute. Then I laid my eyes on the pink ones and GAME OVER. BOOM. They arrived in two days, and I LOVE them so much. They’re super light weight, and didn’t take any time at all to break in!

I mean, I don’t have the time to write about all of the amazing things I have to say about this dry texture spray. When I first got my hair cut a few years ago (I had long hair since senior year of high school), I was unsure how to style it. I don’t know what inspired me to try this texture spray, BUT. I’M. GLAD. I. DID. It’s my #1 product. It comes with me everywhere. It’s like a cross between a hair spray and a sea salt spray. It definitely gives your hair some grit…and I love that. It gives my hair volume while controlling the frizz, and overall messy/undone appearance that I’m going for!
