Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had an amazing weekend. This Monday kicks off the week of love here on The Champagne Edit, and I’m excited to share some fun posts with you! Starting with ways to show yourself some love.
Since this week is all about love, I wanted to start off by talking about the most important person in my life: ME! Loving yourself is SO important, especially in the world of social media. I truly believe that you can’t love or care about someone if you don’t love yourself first. It’s YOUR mental health, YOUR physical well-being, and YOUR happiness! Why wouldn’t you want to show yourself some love?!
4 WAYS TO SHOW YOURSELF SOME LOVE
Go to a kick ass work out
Sweating is a big way to show yourself some love. For me, a SoulCycle class is all I need to put a huge smile on my face. SoulCycle is such a mentally and physically rewarding experience.
Whether I go to a class before or after work, I always make sure I have my personal toiletry bag packed with me! I’m such a mom (it’s my mom’s fault), but I have a little bag filled with medicine, tampons, hand cream, and Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths. If I go to the gym before work, I always pack my Summer’s Eve Gentle Foaming Wash (this is the best for us gals!). If I go to the gym after work and have plans after, it’s so great that I can pull out these convenient individually-
Treat yo’self
I talk about this a lot because I really think it’s true. Treating yourself to a movie, a new handbag, Chipotle, or a Drybar blowout could be a few ways to instantaneously give yourself some love. Speaking of treating yourself, there’s a day left to enter the Summer’s Eve Valentine’s Day promotion! When you purchase two Summer’s Eve products, you will be rewarded with a FREE beauty or lifestyle experience (i.e. mani/pedi, Pilates class, blowout, etc.) How awesome is that?!
Me time
Somtimes you just want to be alone, right? This can also go along with treating yourself, but “me” time is so necessary for positive mental health. When there’s a whole day dedicated to love, why wouldn’t you want to have some “me” time? Get that post-work massage (especially if it’s been a stressful week), stay home on Friday and give yourself an at-home facial, or just sit on the couch and read your new favorite book. If you’re flying solo this Valentine’s Day, it’s the perfect time to just chill. When I really think about it, Valentine’s Day is exhausting! Oh, and it also breaks the bank. On average, women spend about 30% more time getting ready for Valentine’s Day than they do for a regular date. WOOF. I certainly do not have any time for that;) I think majority of women agree with me, about 58% to be exact. Are you with me when I say I’d rather skip the crowds (and those pesky prefix menus)?
Get Up And Travel
If the winter blues are getting to you, it’s time to travel. For Valentine’s Day, so something for yourself. Book a trip. Whether it’s across the continent or just a few hours away, traveling is good for the soul. I’m definitely getting the travel bug, so I’ve been looking at different destinations (with Allie, with Elle & Allie, and with Matt)!
What are some of your favorite ways to show yourself some love?
I love summer’s eve products! It’s a constant reminder to remember to take good care of yourself and love yourself before you love anyone else! xo

I try to do all of these things! I love having a bomb workout especially in the morning to jump start the day. I also love treating myself and having me time ? Self love is so important!
Kendal / Life With Kendal
It’s super important to me to set aside some time to myself and do the things that make me happy. Sometimes that’s spending an hour or two in bed on a Saturday morning with a good book or it could be just getting up a little earlier during the week to have a quiet coffee and jot down some notes for the week. Love all the tips, keep ’em coming!
