I know for a fact I’m in the minority when it comes to this, but I am a WINTER GAL through and through. Give me the low temps (with sunshine of course) and all of the layers. I think I associate winter with my favorite kind of way to dress…or at least that seems to be the only explanation. I decided to put together a list of ALL. THE. THINGS you need for winter.
Lip Balm
There’s nothing worse than chapped lips in the winter. Oh, except if you’re prone to cold sores…which I am. So that means it’s tough for me to exfoliate my lips without getting a cold sore shortly after. So I really focus on During the colder months, I am CONSTANTLY applying chap stick and a hydrating lip balm even if I’m not going outside. I ALWAYS make sure to have something with me — I’m pretty sure every handbag I own has SOME form of chap stick in it. I’ve used this lip sleeping mask for a few years and I enjoy it. I cake it on right before bed, and in the morning my lips are smooth. I’m also a Burt’s Bees kinda gal, so that’s usually at my disposal. But I did just find this on Amazon, so I ordered it and will report back!
Insanely Hydrating Moisturizer
Emphasis on INSANELY. No matter how much moisturizer I put on at night, I’ve been waking up with dry patches. Maybe I need to put even MORE on? Either way, I’ve been swearing by these three moisturizers (and they’re all at different price points too!). I really look for products that help restore your skin’s natural barrier. I’ve seen success with these products, so I think they’re perfect Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream, Farmacy 10% Niacinamide Night Mask, and Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Deep Hydration Moisturizer.
Cashmere Lined Tech Gloves
Okay so this one is less random, but I feel like it was necessary to add to the list. So hear me out…I was never a big glove person. They’re annoying to me, and I hate shoving them in my pockets only to realize that I’ve already lost one. BUT I couldn’t resist these cashmere lined tech gloves. They’re super sleek and I love that I’m still able to use my phone when they’re on (because ya know, priorities).
Iced Coffee Sleeve
One of my friends gave me this iced coffee sleeve set for our Secret Santa and I tell her year after year how they’re the best gift anyone has ever gotten me. I love them so much. I carry one in my bag pretty much at all times JUST in case I pick up an iced coffee somewhere. If I’m commuting to work and make an iced latte at home, I use it too!
Cashmere Socks
It’s official: I want to be a cashmere sock influencer. Kidding. But I have talked about them QUITE often since I got my first pair in November. I would say my favorite pairs are the J.Crew ones, but these also give them a run for their money. As an FYI, cashmere pills easily. So I recommend getting this de-piller. Okay it sounds silly to de-pill your SOCKS, but I mean, you want them to last, right? (But also can obviously be used for sweaters.)
