I know, I know.

I’ve completely neglected the blog this week. On the bright side, I’ve been working on some fresh content for the upcoming weeks! On Monday, we’ll be chatting about something cool that happened on Instagram last weekend – so stay tuned 😉

READING: I’ve been so motivated lately, so I picked up this book to learn more about crushing it in my passion and mastering social media as part of my business.

WEEKEND-ING: This weekend is pretty low key with the exception of tomorrow. After shooting some looks with Lydia, I’ll be watching my girls (Allie, Caroline, and Mollie) speak at the Lovely Happenings event. I can’t wait to see the amazing ladies behind the company, especially since I spoke on the panel last year (and wore this look)! It’s going to be the cutest little afternoon – be sure to follow along on Snapchat (danamannarino)!

WEARING: I’ve been super into silk scarves lately. I just think they’re so classy and your options are endless when it comes to patterns and colors. I’m crushing hard on this one.

EATING: I’ve been eating out a lot lately. Oops. I just really appreciate good food, and let’s be honest – you can’t beat restaurants in NYC. Two weekends ago, my boyfriend and I went to Jacob’s Pickles on the Upper West Side – I’ve never eaten such good fried chicken and biscuits EVER. Serious definition of comfort food. Also, I had root beer and rum. So that was amazing. Also, every month my two bosses and another coworker go to a new-to-us restaurant for a little girls’ night. This week, we went to Eataly’s rooftop restaurant Birreria. My suggestion? Get a bunch of appetizers and share (meat + cheese platters are amazing there!).

DOING: Last weekend, Allie and I went to the pop up shop for NYC- based designer Nora Gardner. We were invited to come try on her designs and learn more about how her line is meant to empower women in their roles (I’ll talk more about this in a dedicated blog post soon). Can’t wait for you all to see which dress I took home with me!

TRYINGI’m gonna share a secret with you: I hardly wear make up. Like ever. It just feels like such a chore for me – and I really don’t know what the heck I’m doing. But recently, I wanted to become better at making an effort to put a face on in the morning. I’ve come to find a few every day staples that work for me!

ANTICIPATING: So many good things are coming up within the next few months. First, I said I was going to be better at saying “Yes” to events – so next week I’m going to a networking/cocktail party with Out of Office NY! Then, in the beginning of May I have a few other events to attend – I’m really excited to get more comfortable with networking.

Next up is the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. Last year, Allie and I went and had an absolute BLAST. This year, we’ll be taking over the Rosé Garden (#RoséAllDay)…so obviously I’m pumped. I need to start thinking about what to wear 😉 Thinking something like this.

Then in August, Allie and I will be heading to Charleston for The Blog Society conference! It’s my first time going to South Carolina and I’m SO excited to meet new people as well as see some of my favorite blogger gals! Then, Allie and I are staying a few extra days to do some exploring – mainly eating, drinking, and shooting looks 😉

And finally, my boyfriend and I are planning a little getaway when it’s cold. We’re thinking Punta Cana! I think I chose a great hotel to say at, so I’m getting kind of excited (even though it’s SO far away, ha)!

PS: Would you like to see more “Lately” posts? Maybe like bi-weekly in this kind of format? Let me know your thoughts below!
